Preen RTW Fall 2012

Here is the Preen ready-to-wear fall 12/13 show at NYFW. The collection consisted greatly of a huge clash of British flowery prints against pixelated floral patterns and retro geometric shapes mixed with heavy embellishment. I love the varied colour palette of dull tones mixed with block brights for vibrancy. Preen is also using a cinched waistline to create an hourglass shape that has been used heavily across catwalks at NYFW. I am loving the use boxy shoulders and high necks on the tops and jackets to create a manish look contrasting against the skirts and the cinched waists. My favourite piece is the knitted sweater with the green pixelated floral print across the shoulders - shown here with a puffy pencil skirt but also would look amazing teamed with some dark skinny jeans and converse. I cannot wait to see some of these looks on the high street!
