Christmas & New Year!

Apologies for the big blogging break. I've recently had a lot on my plate... started my Graduate Programme as a Buyer for Tesco, visiting family and friends, Christmas parties, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and of course NYE! Had a really lovely break spent with my boyfriend, family and all my closest friends. Didn't want it to end but of course, it all came and went so fast! I was hugely spoiled on Christmas Day with an amazing croc skin Mulberry Bayswater handbag with matching purse, some beautiful jewellery from Tiffany & Co amongst some other treats! Literally could not believe how many fabulous gifts I received! I was however compensated this Christmas as my family had decided to leave me for Barbados! Insanely jealous. Bring on 2013... I shall have my feet in that Caribbean sand on Christmas Day! HAPPY NEW YEAR BLOGGERS!

The Christie charity fashion gala.

Last week, my sister had the opportunity to volunteer to take part in a charity fashion gala hosted by Flannels to mark their 35th anniversary in Manchester to raise funds for the Christie NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest cancer centre's in Europe. This was completely not for profit, where all the proceeds went to the Christie trust to help those affected by cancer. Models were human mannequins used to display the clothes that had been donated by Flannels and over 40 other designers to sell to try and raise a target of £50,000 for the trust to support cancer patients. I am so proud that my sister was able to play her part to give something back to those less fortunate and in making the gala a really successful evening. Please read below a small extraction from the Christie website.

"The Christie has been pioneering cancer research breakthroughs for over 100 years and is the largest cancer centre in Europe. Treating more than 40,000 patients each year, we were the first UK centre to be officially accredited as a comprehensive cancer centre. Based in Manchester, with radiotherapy centres in Oldham and Salford, we are a national specialist treating 25% of patients from around the country. Through the impassioned dedication of our 2,500 staff, 350 volunteers and 20,000 members and supporters, we remain committed to helping all those affected by cancer, both now and in the future."

So proud!

Gilgamesh.

A couple of weeks back I went to Gilgamesh in Camden, London with a few of my girlfriends for some fusion Asian cuisine. Had an absolutely amazing night and the food was just to die for. We had such an amazing table overlooking the whole restaurant. I had thai green chicken curry, beef tataki and salmon sashimi which came served in a pool of dry ice. I would definitely recommend! Of course, I needed a new dress for the occasion... Gold baroque halter neck dress is Jones and Jones available Topshop and black ankle boots are also Topshop. I cannot wait to wear it again on Christmas Eve!

Clemmie clutch.

Just been having a browse through the Mulberry website and I saw this beautiful bag in the coming soon section of the site... The Clemmie clutch bag in Rose Gold with the classic postman lock clasp. Absolutely stunning! I am in LOVE! However, retailing at £650, there is no way I can afford this bag right now! Sob. Family, boyfriend... if you see this blog post, take note, I graduate from university in February. Such a huge achievement and I will definitely need a huge present to congratulate me!

Designer Pudsey's.

Here is the 2012 Designer Pudsey Collection of one off 24 inch Pudsey bears that have been created exclusively by various designers from Victoria Beckham to Burberry in order to raise money for Children in Need. The idea for the collection was thought up by Katie Grand, Editor of Love magazine. Paul Smith, Anya Hindmarch and Selfridges have created some smaller 10 inch bears to be sold in store from 23rd October. The actual collection bears will be exclusively exhibited at Selfridges in London & Manchester from 23rd October until 14th November, before being auctioned of at Christie's auction house in London to raise money for the charity! Wish I was rich enough to go and buy Victoria Beckham's, Missoni's, Henry Holland's or Mulberry's pudsey bears... My faves!

Harvey Nichols Leeds AW12.

Here is my beautiful baby sister doing her first modelling job walking for Harvey Nichols fashion show in Leeds. Literally cannot get over how stunning and professional she looks on these photos - completely different to how I see her in the morning! I'm so proud of how well she's doing. Congratulations Lily! Today's outfit.

Finally, I have got my hands on the Prada-esque orange geo print dip hem blouse from Next. So happy! Just need the black and white geo print trousers now so I can go print clash crazy, all in the name of Prada and Miu Miu. Also, take note of my new black furry waistcoat... Would you believe this is from George at Asda for £25?! The exact same one sold in Topshop for £55. A style saving of £30! Bargain!!! Literally counting every single penny now I live in London... So depressing but if you try an look places that you wouldn't normally go, you may be pleasantly surprised at some of your finds! Worn here with my black skinny jeans from Zara and old faithful Ambush boots from Topshop. LOVE!
